Recently, the Italian police department used their supercar Lamborghini to transport a kidney to a hospital. Police officers raced their blue and white Lamborghini Huracian LP610-4 from the northern town of Padova, 500 kilometres (310 miles) south to a hospital in Rome to deliver the kidney in time to a hospital urgently waiting to perform surgery on a patient, hitting speeds of up to 230 kilometres per hour.

In a normal car, the usual travel time is four hours and 40 minutes.

On their social media, the police department posted the video, which has since gone viral.

Thanks to our @Lamborghini Huracan, we transported the kidney of a donor in time for transplantation to a person. "To save a life you don't need superpowers" solidarity, technology and efficiency also help."

In just 3.2 seconds, the Huracian can go from 0-100 kph and can attain a top speed of 325 kph.

The Huracan has been revamped to serve those purposes for obvious reasons. When it is transported, there is cold storage for the organs. In addition, it has an onboard tablet that has the cameras and computers required to record something that is significant. At the moment, its primary role will remain the transport of organs at times of emergency. Only time will tell when other police functions will be met.
