The Leoncino 800 and the Leoncino 800 Trail will arrive in the UK early next year, Benelli has announced. It is also expected that the scrambler motorcycle will make its debut on the Indian market after being released on the international market.

To take advantage of the middle-weight boom, the Benelli Leoncino 800 and Leoncino 800 Trail roadsters have been introduced. The road-focused Leoncino 800 with an exposed trellis frame, a slender fuel tank, a plain tailpiece and spoken wheels adopts the conventional styling language of the nameplate.

In an otherwise classic package, vertically-stacked elliptical headlamps, LED tail lamps and LED indicators attempt to add a touch of modernity. A rally-style flyscreen, flat-track style side panel with race patch, upswept dual-pipe exhaust and an exclusive green shade with yellow accented branding design on the Leoncino 800 Trail. Both bikes also feature the new TFT instrument cluster technology.

The scrambler earned additional twin exhaust pipes covered by a silver panel extending from the tailpiece and a coloured compact headlamp fairing for the body. The Trail version adopts a larger 19-inch unit up front, while the Leoncino 800 uses road-friendly 17-inch wheels at either end.

Leoncino 800 and the Leoncino 800 Trial are expected to share a powertrain that is expected to be a Euro5 emission-compliant 754cc four-stroke liquid-cooled twin-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 81.6 Hp of power and 67 Nm of torque matched to a wet anti-slip clutch 6-speed gearbox.
