The 2020 Land Rover Defender has now been launched in India today, after a delay in the launch in August due to the coronavirus pandemic. The latest product is a full redesign compared to the predecessor and is based on the entirely new D7x architecture with new engines and is much more tech-friendly to keep up with the new-age customers.

The Defender will be sold in both its short and long-wheelbase models in India, powered by a 300 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, when it arrives in the country as a direct import. Bookings at dealerships and online were available as well. The Defender will also sell customised accessory kits filled with technology and features for off-road capability and comfort.

With the 5 + 2 seater configuration complete with the panoramic sunroof, alpine lights, leather and fabric seats, and the all-new 10-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system, the new Defender comes to India as the first five-door 110 version. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is also entirely configurable and the multi-function steering wheel complements it.
