Sahasra-namas, a type of devotional literature, are songs of praise. "The word is a compound of the" thousand "sahasra and the" name "nāman. Vishnu Sahasranama means Lord Sri Maha Vishnu's 1000 names. In 108 slokas, the 1000 names are segregated and individually recited.
